Now on wikibooks: “Information Competencies for Chemistry Undergraduates”

Now on Wikibooks:

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Information_Competencies_for_Chemistry_Undergraduates

As some of you might recall, this document identifies the skills and knowledge chemistry undergraduates should develop in order to successfully navigate scientific and chemical literature, and will be well-prepared for graduate work or employment as a chemist.

The format change to a wikibooks document will make it much easier to keep the document current and work on future revisions. Wikibook tools also make it possible to:
–create a PDF or printable version on the fly
–maintain collections of wikibooks pages

History of Information Competencies for Chemistry Undergraduates:
The first edition was developed by the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Chemistry Division Ad Hoc Committee on Information Literacy and was published in in January 2007. A revised second edition was published in 2011, in consultation with the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Chemical Information (CINF) Education Committee, and members from the SLA Chemistry Division. These previous editions existed as PDF documents available on the SLA Chemistry Division website (and are still available there):  http://chemistry.sla.org/il/
